In October 2024, we presented to CDPA on Professionalism Obligations when Posting on Controversial Topics

Since then, there have been significant decisions by Discipline Tribunals in Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta, providing further guidance to professionals on what is appropriate and not appropriate to post, and on what consequences may follow where social media postings amount to professional misconduct. This presentation will pick up where last year’s presentation left off, with a review of significant regulatory decisions and updated guidance for professionals.
